While reading GTM official documentation, there were some loose ends that required some research and much trial and error. This first article of the “tracking tools series” will serve the purpose of documenting and help you to use this tool, compensating a huge lack of online documentation and examples in a mobile environment. This tool already exists! It’s called Google Tag Manager! Not to mention that there were some tools that were already implemented in our app, but I had no idea on how they were being implemented in the code and the logic behind the scenes was different for each one of them. There should be some tool that was capable of funnel all your attention has a developer to a single place.
In order to implement each one of these, we have to go through all the technical documentation, learn what some methods are supposed to do, etc…
There is a point that if you have at least 3 different tools, you start feeling that there should be some tool that was able to merge all of these different tools.Įach one of these tools has its own SDK and implementation strategy. There are many issues like boilerplate code, versioning and code deprecation, among others. If you had to add some tracking to your mobile app, you may know the feeling of having to maintain all different tools.
